Good Morning all....
So I was up early. Well Not that early 8. I woke up sore.. for some manual labor yesterday, and from light riding and jogging yesterday. Most of all I woke up to the rain pounding on the roof and everything else. I know I said I would getting into some harsh cycling training.... but for right now I am not going out in the rain. :( I wish I could. But I am working up to that endurance. Well more to come. I think I am going to just relax for the day and then start up again next weekend.
Thanks again all
Much love
Erik

Like I promised!
Hey Guys,
OK So today was a bit challenging because I was really tired. I am totally not a morning person. I fell short on my ride today. I only cycled for
about 5 miles. Nothing big. I think the biggest challenge was getting up at 6:30 am on a Saturday morning. The Sky was gray and it was really cold in the morning. My partner Chet went on the ride with me. He is a beginner so we decided to do something simple. 5 miles was a lot for him. Which is great I am excited that he is starting to train with me and that we can do it together! However, I was freezing this morning! I mean freezing! I know that spandex it supposed to be comfortable but damn I was chilling. I rode long
enough to at least get warm and stay warm. That was great. Our route today was the Whittier Bike Trail. We started at my house and went down Penn to the trail and the took it up, and back down. The 5.6 miles took about an hour. Greeted lots of people jogging on
the way. I even raced a bunch of kids. They were cool. It was a great chance to reflect on Camp and re-dedicate myself to my goal to help fund camp to keep it going. Chet was wearing my Oscar Jersey. That is my favorite Jersey in fact it is well my only one. I need to buy some new gear. Well here is a video before the ride and a video after. There are some pictures of the in between. Thanks for your support again and keep tabs on my. I may make games out of it. Like Guess where I am! Ooh I think that will be fun! Games to come up soon!

Week 2!
OK so I know that I have been getting really excited. I have been encouraging everyone to join in on the ride whether it is just helping out the ride or if it is riding themselves. Even better riding with me! So I am planning on riding this Sat. 3/21/09 and also Sunday. I am not sure how I am going to keep track of the miles. We will see. I am planning to ride 50 miles on Sat and maybe a shorter ride on Sun.
Also I am going to be a wonder event for the ride. For people to come out and donate for my cause and also get a show and fun out of it! Look for more info later.
The event is called "Serve it Well!" With bands like Beatmo and Hollyboots, and hosted by the remarkable Barbie Q! Check them out on myspace.
I will get everyone more info on it later.
So This week I will be having some pictures and also my first video explaining why I am doing what I am doing Plus I think videos are fun, not only for you but for me!
So tell everyone... friends family to please support this great cause.
Love ya all
Erik

Riding til my Wheels Fall Off! CAMP LAURE RIDE 7
HEY ALL! My name is Erik EscareƱo. I am riding this year again for the CAMP LAUREL AIDS Ride. This Camp is an important part of my life, because I used to be a camper there. My sister died of AIDS in 1993 and since then my life and family has changed. I currently work at JWCH doing HIV counseling and testing for people. I am a camp counselor now for Camp Laurel. I would love to keep this camp alive since funding is hard to come by. It is important to for us not to forget camp. I want to give back as much as I can. I ride for my sister. I ride for my friends. I ride for a cure. I ride for hope. I ride for the kids. So please help me keep camp alive and hope for this kids to continue to get to camp. Thanks Erik!
P.S. I am starting to blog my rides. Pictures and Video to come. Today I am starting my training and I did 17.something miles. So please join the ride or support!
Thanks
Erik
